i love to Twitter my day to day activities to my friends and followers. Twitter is much better than blogging because it is direct to the point and does not require you to type so many unnecessary words.

This is a really good idea and something a lot more registrars are sure to follow. I really feel Go Daddy is advancing the registration process and making things a lot simpler. Gone are the days now where we have to check the name at Go Daddy then check again at Twitter. Be great if they could integrate some more checks as well. FaceBook etc.

That is nuts! I wonder how Twitter feels about it? You would think it would lead to mass Twitter username squatting.

This was reported by most domaining blogs back around July 3rd. Methinks you need to visit Godaddy and/or other blogs more, lol. In all fairness, you might have been in the wilderness at the time though.

Put it this way, I would not be too happy if someone else had the twitter user name relative to my domain name or brand. I believe twitter is a whole new marketing eco-system, therefore Godaddy should be given thumbs up for looking ahead into the future of where micro-blogging is heading. If you have the right "keyword" username on twitter, it leverages your brand!
