Seasonal Traffic and Domains are Big Business
First I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving I hope you enjoy the time with family and friends.
On this day I was looking at some search data and it was amazing to me some of the seasonal traffic that gets searched. Below is the google trends data for Thanksgiving, Easter, and Valentines Day. I think that this shows the huge opportunities in the seasonal and holiday market.
I was looking at some domains that I won't share just yet, but I am going to try and get some names ranked for some holidays next year. Some of the CPC rates are high for some seasonal terms, which was something I did not expect to see . The seasonal nature of the domains make it easy from them to go viral. For some targeted terms there is also little competition which will make it easier for you to rank high in the search engines.
Look what Kevin Ham is doing with BlackFriday.com obviously he thinks there is value is seasonal domains and their traffic. Rick Schwartz and other top domains also own some top seasonal domains. Another domain blogger who talks about seasonal domains is Fusible.com they posted about seasonal traffic just the other day. There are so many holidays with just a few domains can keep you busy with traffic all year. I will try and keep you updated with any of my new developments with seasonal domains.

I agree with you 100 percent.
I have been purchasing costume domains.
I had my shop4halloween.com site ranked well for a few terms one year and it did 50,000 in sales in one month.
I made a 10% commission.
To bad the site doesnt rank for anything anymore.
