There are a few ways to handle lead generation. Just make sure that it fits into your development model. If you really want to get started, you call around to a few of those glass repair shops and say hey I received an inquiry about glass repair and would like to refer this individual to you.

Once they see that you can be depended on for leads, they might either buy leads directly from you or pay you based on the business you refer. Either way you can take advantage of the lead you received! Consider it HOT until proven otherwise!

I bought a domain for property management here in Jerusalem, and when the lead came through, I did not have the right contractor. The client, owner of a $350 a day property walked away. It was a painful experience. Now, looking back, I may do it again, but this time, I will choose the field better.

yes, I got into domaining to generate leads for our small business advertisers. Lead generation and domains can be quite lucrative, but you need scale to generate enough leads to attract advertiser interest.

I agree with Mike. David Carter has fantastic information on his blog about lead generation.

A similar thing happened to me, with a geo domain not too long ago, and I wrote about it.

It’s not a bad way to make money if it’s done right, but you will need a decent amount of traffic.

Lead generation can be much much more profitable than domains in the long run. Especially if you can establish a great relationship with a company or business. This can be added to a resume and be done over and over again with other businesses and companies. Have fun!
