Tools I Use When Buying a Domain Name
Here are some of the tools I use when I am looking to register a new domain, or when I am looking to buy a name from a person. You can also use these tools when you are trying to price and sell your names.
NameBio.com - The best website I have found where you can search past domain sales to see what people are paying names like yours for.
Google Keyword Tool - With this tool you can search how many people search a term every month in Google, you can also see the CPC for your keywords which tells you around how much your will be paid per click if you use PPC. This also shows you the competition for your keywords.
Estibot.com - Give a good overview of the domain and stats related to it.
eBay.com - Compleated Listing Search
Google.com - Is there anything that google can't do?
If you want to know what a name is worth you can also take a look at Group Valuation .com a New domain appraisal program from the people at WhyPark
If you have any more tools you use please share them below!

Google itself, to see what the real depth of adwords buyers is like – in other words don’t solely rely on the adword tool. Also, a good move to check you’re not buying an expensive typo (assuming you didn’t plan on buying a typo).
Namebio is a super tool, definitely have to second your recommendation on that.
