Some of you might remember the sites I built out over the week period a few weeks ago. I also have put some sites on Whypark and Smartname to give them a try. Here is how things are looking.

The sites I put on Whypark including Hebrew Tutors #6 in Google, Sign Language Tutors #3, Portuguese Tutors #5. I am surprised with these results the sites are bringing in traffic and I have done no link building or any promotion on the sites I am in to process of building out these sites so its great just to get them ranked in the meantime.

My custom build minisites are doing better and better ever month. I moved around some ad spots and saw a dramatic CTR increase on a few sites. My best site this month is a new site I built 2 months ago German Wine Glasses. It has overtaken my other sites only by a little bit. My eBay PPC still sits from 0.12 to 0.20 cents per click.  This month adsense average click is right around 1.50.

The established sites I bought last week continues to do well and should earn its purchase price back in less than three months. Thats a great return.

I think it is about time to build out some more ministes since my last ones are doing so well. They take a few hours to build and bring in money every month. I am going to go and pick out some product domains to build out and start to get the ball moving.

Overall I am very happy with this part of my domain business. The sites are doing better then I ever expected with little upkeep and the traffic grows every month. How are your ministes doing?

Your WhyPark site rankings are great, but may I ask if you’re getting clicks/making money with WhyPark? Thanks.

Good job finding .COM phrases which aren’t too competitive. .COM & .Net domains do rank more easily at Google. The Google Adwords Keywords Tool doesn’t show much exact search volume for those phrases but sometimes the tool, which is merely a guide, is mistaken. Oftentimes a site with ample content can rank for similar but related phrases as well.

I’ll have to admit trying to rank .TV and .Info sites (for competitive phrases) can be a bit challenging.

Note for your Portuguese Tutors site that the site references learning Spanish (alt text and first content block) – a similar but different language.

Very inspiring to hear, Brian. I put in 99% of my time to improve our core site. But I realize that I should start building on some other domains that we own but have never done anything with. I would love to get a little revenue stream with some of these domains that are just hanging around doing nothing.

Glad to hear mini-sites are doing well for someone! I am currently building a small network of mini-sites for myself based around a few products from MoreNiche. Do you use unique content when building your mini-sites? I have also been considering how I can integrate my mini-sites socially, linking them with facebook etc to make them more effective somehow. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
