My Advertising Revenue is Up in 2011

I don’t know if something that is happening to just me, but my advertising revenue is up so far in 2011. All around my sites clicks are up.

Google adsense clicks are averaging .47 cents more per click this month than they did last year.  I really hope this is a good sign of things to come this year.

On eBay partner network, my earnings are basically flat, but I take this as good sign because every year I have a large spike in earnings around the holiday season, and then it normally falls back. This year it has not as dramatic as others.

I have also seen an increase in direct advertising request early this year on many of my sites. I think this is due to the fact that because it is a new year and small companies have money in their ad budget to spend.

With different affiliate networks I really did not do a ton with them early last year so I don’t have a lot to compare them to. But I do have to add that I normally make nothing with amazon’s program even over the holidays I made like $10 and this month already I am double that amount. I have taken down amazon ads from almost all of my sites, but maybe I will put a few back up. I am now putting ads from google affiliate network and shareasale on many of my sites to see how they convert.

This could just be because I am building new sites and working on their SEO and optimization or it could be because the economy is picking up slowly. Because many of my sites are consumer based goods that are not necessary for everyday life as revenue picks up I think that people are willing to spend money on their leisure and hobbies again.

Heck even my parking account made a couple hundred more pennies than it normally does!

How are your earnings so far in 2011?

congrats on the increase in revenue. Its too early to tell for me, but so far I have been getting a decent stream of income from my main site along with my mini sites. I am also getting some sales from the minisites through amazon – but traffic has been increasing which is a plus.
I have also noticed im making some more money with my parked domains on smartnames.

Best of luck to you in 2011!

@TeenDomainer – WhyPark is great even if you do want to develop a site. To me, it’s like a WordPress site that already has wordpress on. And when I want to target even longer tailed keywords, I can easily create an excel spreadsheet of subdomains and import them into my whypark account so I can squeeze even more profits from my domain name.
