The non .com domain after market has been turning out some solid sales in the past few weeks.

The one character .biz domain auction on Sedo resulted in sales that turned heads on an extension that domain investors consider worthless or dying. Overstock recently acquired O.biz, and they will be selling items to small businesses on it. These high sales might cause some to rethink where they stand on the value of the .biz domains.

Top 5 Sales from .Biz Auction

1. E.biz $66,001
2. 1.biz $32,003
3. D.biz $26,110
4. M.biz $15,611
5. W.biz $13,500

.Me domains have also been making some news lately. The .Me registry announced that they will be giving away some preminium .me domains to a company that can prove they have a use for them. .Me domains have had some strong sales lately, along with a growing awareness of the .Me extension. WordPress is now using WP.me, and Bruce Marler has started a State Geo network on his .Me's.

High .Me Sales

Date.me $70,000
Cloud.me $22,500
Teach.me $20,100
Buy.me $17,500
Tweet.me $11,000

The .com will always be king, but do these sales change anything for .Me, .Biz, and domain investors in general?

Do you believe that these sales increase the value of other .Me and .biz domains?
